Saltaire September
The greens still remain but
Side by greys orange burnt
Siena and myriad shades of
Brown. The autumn comes,
The sap slows a dryness creeps
Deep and leaves curl, inward
Facing toward winter distant ahead.
Summer shouts echoes fade over
Cooling waters, empty sands and
Bicycle stands kicked in place. Another
Summer memory matures and falls
Into the hued tale of living.
